Pirates Voyage

Arrive early to enjoy the pre-show entertainment and some spirits. At showtime, be prepared to walk upstairs, as a herd of cattle, and find your seats in the arena-type theatre. The set was beautiful with ships, water, and live animals.
When the show begins, your server will begin delivering food to your plate while you enjoy the acrobats flying and flipping. I thought this was just the slow part of the story since it is a bit difficult for me to follow a story while picking at the food on my plate. However, as we neared the end of the dinner, I realized the show was almost over and there never really was a plot.
The sound was poor--as if there was recorded voices playing and the gymnastics were lip-synching. The handful of main characters did have microphones but the sound still was not clear--neither was their pirate-talk. If it were not for my interest in watching gymnastics, I would not have liked the show as much.
Having visited Pigeon Forge, TN, I expected more from Dolly!
